NATIONAL FAMILY CAREGIVER’S MONTH

National Family Caregiver Month: Celebrating a Year of Momentum at ianacare

As we wrap up another National Family Caregiver Month, we want to take a moment to reflect on the efforts our team has made over the past year, deepening our reach and impact. The momentum is greater than we have ever felt in the past!

Last year, we reiterated our commitment to proving the value family caregivers bring to care delivery. Over the past year, we have made substantial strides, focused on settings where caregiver support is no longer a “nice-to-have”, but a required part of care delivery models, such as in the CMS GUIDE model. Our mission continues to grow as caregiver support becomes more of a focus.

For years, our solution has served over 45,000 caregivers, patients, and their families with deeply engaging and empowering support. Over the past year, we’ve built on this to deepen engagement, impact, and accessibility through key product updates.

We have even more to do in 2025, but let’s take a moment to reflect on the momentum we’ve seen in the past 12 months.

PROVING OUT OUR ENGAGEMENT MODEL WITH DATA

Over the years, we’ve served and engaged over 45,000 families and caregivers. This year, as more care delivery organizations recognized the critical role of caregiver support, it was important for us to emphasize the main driver behind our impact– our engagement. We analyzed and shared some of the biggest trends and crucial insights from our platform users.

The 2023 Year in Review Report features a year’s worth of data from caregivers using the ianacare platform, offering a data-driven look at how caregivers coordinate, receive, and leverage the support they need.

Engagement will continue to be a crucial piece of any successful caregiver support model.

GA WEB APP LAUNCH & ADA COMPLIANCE

Earlier this year, we took an exciting step forward by launching the desktop-based version of the ianacare platform! This web app mirrors the seamless experience caregivers already enjoy on mobile, but now in a larger visual format, making our solution even more accessible to caregivers of all ages, demographics, and levels of comfort with technology.

With this release, we also prioritized ADA compliance, ensuring that our platform is accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities. This commitment to inclusivity not only reflects our values but also strengthens our ability to partner with organizations that uphold ADA standards. By meeting these critical accessibility requirements, we’re making it easier for employers, health plans, and providers to offer ianacare’s innovative support to a broader audience, ensuring no caregiver is left behind.

KEY CLINICAL ADVISORS ADDED TO THE TEAM

This summer, we were thrilled to expand ianacare’s Clinical Advisory Board by welcoming Torrie Fields, MPH, alongside Dr. Marcy Carty, Dhruv Vasishtha, and Dr. Namita Seth Mohta.

Each of these leaders brings not only unparalleled clinical expertise but also a deep belief in the power of caregiver support to transform healthcare. Their guidance has already strengthened our work and inspired us to push further in creating innovative, meaningful solutions for caregivers. With their insights, we feel more energized than ever to create meaningful, lasting change for the caregivers and patients we serve.

APPROVED AS CMS GUIDE PARTNER ORGANIZATION

Earlier this year, ianacare achieved a major milestone by being accepted as a partner organization into CMS’s innovative GUIDE Model, which focuses on improving support for dementia patients and their caregivers.

This groundbreaking program is a crucial spotlight on the vital role of family caregivers play in patient outcomes and aims to provide much-needed funding for their support.

As a GUIDE partner, ianacare brings six years of expertise in delivering comprehensive caregiver services, including education and training, Caregiver Navigators, respite care navigation, and more, all underscored by our proven engagement model. This achievement underscores our commitment to expanding our impact and transforming the future of dementia care.

100% CLIENT RETENTION

Once again, we are closing out Q4 with 100% client retention. We are so grateful to our leading employer partners for collaborating with our team to ensure their employee caregivers benefit from our solution. Our employee engagement continues to grow YoY with industry-leading metrics.

Our Client Success team and Engagement model ensure we keep caregivers feeling supported and that our partners continue to receive value from their partnership with ianacare.

LAUNCH OF BEREAVEMENT PROGRAM

At ianacare, we believe that no one should grieve alone.

Just this year, we launched our Bereavement Support Program, designed to provide working caregivers with the empathy, guided support, and resources they need during the painful and difficult moments of loss.

The program includes:

  • Personalized Care: 24-48 hours after a support request, caregivers are matched with one-on-one support from our Caregiver Navigators.
  • Comprehensive Resources: From funeral planning to coping strategies, we provide curated resources to help caregivers manage every aspect of their grief.
  • Proactive Outreach: Regular follow-ups ensure that caregivers receive continuous support throughout the year.

We’ve already seen the tremendous impact of this program on our users:

“Just having someone willing to listen to what you are going through really makes a difference.” – Kristel, Program participant

PHIR TRACTION AWARD

This Spring, we were honored to participate in the Provider Health Innovation Roundtable, with the opportunity to share our solution and mission with some of the largest health systems and innovators in our field.

We’re proud to share that after presenting alongside so many other talented organizations, we were selected for the PHIR Traction Award !

This award reflects the growing recognition of how critical caregiver support is to healthcare innovation. The feedback and connections we gained through PHIR inspire us to keep pushing boundaries, collaborating with leaders in the field, and advancing our mission.

ELEVANCE HEALTH RESELLER AGREEMENT

After successfully serving Elevance Health employees with the ianacare benefit for years, we recently expanded to enter into a reseller agreement with Elevance Health‘s commercial health plan.

We’re excited to be their chosen caregiver support solution as they continue to offer innovative benefits to some of the largest employers in the country. With the strength and reach of Elevance behind us, this partnership allows us to reach more organizations seeking to support working caregivers while streamlining the administrative process.

For employers on the Anthem health plan, we’re ready to offer ianacare seamlessly. Caregiving and health are tightly intertwined.

LOOKING AHEAD

2024 was filled with innovation and growth for our team, and we feel more traction than ever to push our mission forward.

We don’t plan on slowing this momentum any time soon. As we look ahead to 2025, we have so much in the works that we truly do believe will create tangible impact for family caregivers:

  • We continue to make progress as we push further into the GUIDE model, with plans to launch with New Track participants in the early spring, and emerging partnerships with GUIDE entities already on the Established Track who continue to build their GUIDE programs.
  • Internally, we’re always pushing the boundaries to create the most engaging, practical, and user-friendly solution that delivers the highest-quality, most relevant support to our caregivers. In 2025, we’re getting ready to launch new AI features that will truly transform the level of personalization our users receive, while making their experience using the solution more streamlined and efficient.

Our core mission to encourage, empower, and equip family caregivers continues to drive us to fill the gaps and lead true impact in this fragmented health system. We see the impact on people’s day-to-day lives, we’re the call caregivers make when they feel lost, and we see communities showing up for others in their everyday needs. Ultimately, we ensure that no caregiver does this alone.

“I Am Not Alone Care” does not happen overnight. Each year though, we integrate ourselves into the operational flows, policy, and programs to fundamentally change how families care. 2024 was a big one and we can’t wait for 2025!
